Tyann from Idaho in our English classes

DBH 4  grade students are delighted with Tyann, our new conversation assistant. Thanks to her, they have learned about American university life and the presence of Basque people and culture in Boise, Idaho. They were surprised when they found out the existence of Basque clubs, a famous celebration called "Jaialdi" or "Jai Alai" pilota courts in different states.

4 useful Apps for language learning:

 1. SOUNDS: This app helps you study and practise pronunciation wherever you are. There are two versions of Sounds.

  2. THE ENGLISH LEARNING LOUNGE:

Its is an app that focuses on all aspects of language learning. It gives detailed grammar explanations and plenty of opportunity to practise through multiple-choice tests. Students are provided with authentic listening and reading material which is a great way to engage them. The app starts with beginners and slowly builds up to advanced levels.

 3. LEARN ENGLISH GRAMMAR:

The app is designed for all levels but you can choose which is best suited to you. The app has a variety of activities to practise grammar and many are interactive.

4. JOHNNY GRAMMAR'S WORD CHALLENGE:

It is a quiz app by the British Council that tests vocabulary and grammar that appear in every day situations. The quiz has different linguistic levels, the ability to compete with other players and is split into three main areas: grammar, vocabulary and spelling. Students will like the interactive game feel to the quiz and the fact that you gain badges as you move through the different levels.
